One Part of Being Successful

I don't know about you all but this past week has mostly been about scribbling out items on my to-do list. With each item scribbled, two or three more were written down on my pink post-it notes and the list went on and on and on.

You know the kind: things that will literally take one minute to do but you have just not been able to get to them. Or things that you have been trying to do over and over again only to find you are missing an important part to completing the task. 

Anyway, I have made some major headway on all of those tasks, even the hard-to-complete ones, and realized that almost 10 days have gone by and I haven't taken much time to sit alone and be quiet. On this beautiful Sunday morning I sat, letting the rest of my to-do list sleep in a bit longer, and watched squirrels play and gather nuts while the sun rose. 




You're kidding yourself if you think that you don't need (or even worse, don't deserve) to relax. Relaxing can mean shutting of your phone and computer or tuning out to your own thoughts and simple observing what is right in front of you.

It can mean heading to a yoga class (which I did on Friday, by the way, but sometimes even that doesn't work), or walking around your own neighborhood and noticing new things for the first time. There is not one right way to relax. I challenge you to notice in your own life when you have been lax in the re-lax-ation department and take charge of your own well-being, your own success, and make time to relax.
